Programme Intended Learning Outcomes (PILOs)

Upon successful completion of this programme, students will be able to:

  • Relate creativity, aesthetics and media technology to areas of media design and production;
  • Apply media and information methodologies, both independently and within a team, to develop interactive multimedia systems and enhance the levels of quality in production process;
  • Relate the major ideas in arts and humanities, science and technology to their own area of study;
  • Appreciate the major socio-political, cultural and economic issues that may affect media production;
  • Practise in an ethical, responsible and professional manner, and apply safety and health measures at work;
  • Communicate effectively in a culturally diversified workplace.

Career Prospects

Graduates from this programme can find employment related to media creation and production, post media production, digital sound/video recording and editing. Graduates will qualify for a wide range of positions in the media industry which include animators, multimedia producers, interactive multimedia system developer, production designer, and new media designer.
